IN-WATER PIER REMOVAL

Requires no cofferdam or personnel below the surface.
Remotely operated non-fracturing process separates both concrete & reinforcement.
Environmentally clean with minimal disruption to mud and silt.

OVERVIEW

(UHP) Ultra-High-Pressure Non-Fracturing Pier Removal

The (UHP) Demolition System can be deployed in little over an hour. A float is used to deliver the demolition ring to the pier being cut.The rings are hinged for installation around a pier that has been rigged for lifting. The ring is lowered to the mud line (or other desired height) where pneumatic grippers attach the ring firmly to the pier. Cutting heads are then engaged and the cut is performed. Integrated sensors allow critical process functions to be monitored by a remote operator. The (UHP) System eliminates worker access liabilities in submerged areas, reduces multiple equipment set-ups, and minimizes environmental disruption.

UHP (Ultra-High Pressure) Concrete Cutting Technique
UHP water jet concrete cutting tools utilize a highly focused (60,000psi) cutting stream that aspirates finely sieved abrasive powders into a water jet stream. This stream is propelled toward the target at velocities approaching mach 2, or twice the speed of sound. The result is a precise, clean separation of concrete and reinforcement. A small kerf (material removed) of 1/8th inch is typical.
